THEME OF THE CALL: INCEST

For its 6th edition, Les Mesnographies invites artists to submit a photographic serie on one of the most deeply taboo subjects: INCEST.

Through photography, we want to create a space where images replace silence, where art becomes a voice. This theme requires sensitivity, respect, and strength. We are looking for works that can reveal, question, or heal without resorting to sensationalism.

There can be multiple approaches. The goal of this Focus is to raise awareness through artistic photography. Just like every year, a roundtable will be organized around the Focus’ theme with readings, testimonies, and discussions.

We understand that this subject can be disturbing however we have chosen to create a space where a subject like this can be seen and discussed with the artists that have submitted Their work and we believe that silence around this subject has to stop.

Les Mesnographies is a non-lucrative photography festival, free and non-competitive. It is not a photography prize and carries no monetary award. It is a space for sharing and showcasing artistic voices.

The image chosen to illustrate this open call has been selected and approved by the person depicted in it.

Please send us a PDF file with a maximum of 20 images, an introductory text about the series,

and a biography to mesnographies@gmail.com by October 15, 2025.

Important: Please do not use WeTransfer.

When curating your series, please keep in mind that this is an outdoor festival in a park accessible to all audiences, including children.
